OAMFT Legislative Representatives

OAMFT School Liaisons
Are you a student in a MFT program in Oregon?  Would you like to be involved in OAMFT?  OAMFT is looking for student members to be liaisons between the OAMFT Student Rep Board Member and MFT school programs. To find out more, contact oamftboard@gmail.com

OAMFT Regional Outreach Coordinators
Are you looking for a way to get more connected to OAMFT members in your area?  OAMFT is looking for volunteers throughout the state to conduct regional outreach through hosting events and sending regional newsletters.  OAMFT provides the content and support for events and communications.  If interested, please contact us at oamftboard@gmail.com

Do you have an eye for graphic design or editing?  OAMFT is looking for volunteers to assist with the design, editing and publication of the quarterly Network News and other OAMFT publications.  To find out more, contact us,

OAMFT Committees
Participating in an OAMFT committee is a great way to get to know OAMFT board members and fellow MFTs.  Please feel free to contact the committee chair if you are interested in volunteering on a particular committee.  We'd love to hear from you!

  • Legislative—Participate in following and helping create legislation that supports the work of MFTs .  Educate fellow members on current issues and provide tools to work with legislators on both national and statewide legislation.  Contact: Stephen Rodgers, stephen.rodgers57@gmail.com
  • Conferences/CEUs—Help plan annual OAMFT conferences, regional events and other trainings.  Contact Vanieca Kraus, counseling@vanieca.com.
  • Membership Development/Outreach—Motivate, educate, and recruit individuals to become OAMFT members. Contact oamftboard@gmail.com to find out more!
  • Communications— Utilize Facebook, Twitter and other social media to facilitate communication of upcoming events, news/political action updates, and needs/opportunities/questions in the MFT community.  Contact Lauren Disner, info@workingtogetherfamilytherapy.com
  • Board Recruitment/Elections—Help determine the next slate of board members for OAMFT by assisting with recruiting new board members and supporting the elections process.

Serve on the OAMFT board to gain leadership experience and develop connections with other MFTs throughout the state.  Elections for board positions are held each fall.  OAMFT Board officers are eligible to receive up to 20 CEUs during a 2 year period for their service on the board.
